Historical Resolution Data
Does StatementConverter preserve all 50+ currency columns in a Wise multi-currency statement?
Yes. Wise account statements can include transaction rows across 40–50+ held currency balances — GBP, EUR, USD, INR, AUD, SGD, CAD, and more — within a single PDF. StatementConverter preserves each transaction's original currency code and amount for every currency section, maintaining the full multi-currency structure of the Wise PDF rather than collapsing everything into a single currency.
Can the Excel output be used for multi-country tax reporting as a Wise user?
Yes. Cross-border freelancers, digital nomads, and international businesses using Wise often need to declare income across multiple countries simultaneously. The structured Excel output from StatementConverter makes it straightforward to sort Wise transactions by currency, counterparty, or date range — supporting tax filings in the UK (HMRC), EU (VAT), Australia (ATO), India (ITR), Canada (CRA), and other jurisdictions.
Are Wise transfer fees preserved as separate rows in the Excel output?
Yes. Wise fee deductions appear as separate line items in Wise statement PDFs, distinct from the principal transfer amount. StatementConverter preserves both the principal transfer row and the fee row exactly as they appear in the original PDF — critical for accurate P&L reporting, VAT reclaim on financial service fees, and reconciling Wise statements against accounting records.
Does it handle Wise Business account statements differently from personal accounts?
Yes. Wise Business statements include additional columns for batch payment references, team member payer names, and API transfer identifiers not present in personal Wise statements. StatementConverter extracts all available columns from both Wise Business and personal statement formats, preserving the additional reference data available in business account PDFs.
Why use StatementConverter when Wise already offers native CSV export?
Wise's native CSV export is useful for recent transactions, but StatementConverter adds value for three scenarios: (1) converting archived Wise PDF statements from older periods; (2) consolidating Wise data with traditional bank statements (HSBC, Barclays, Chase) into a single consistently-formatted Excel workbook; (3) producing a professional-format spreadsheet for lenders, visa applications, or accountants who prefer a structured Excel format over raw CSV.
Is processing Wise statements with StatementConverter private?
Yes. Your Wise PDF statement is processed entirely within your browser — it is never uploaded to StatementConverter's servers. No transaction data, account balances, currency holdings, or personal information is transmitted to any external system. This local-only processing is particularly important for Wise users holding large multi-currency balances across multiple jurisdictions.
