Historical Resolution Data
Does the language of my BNP Paribas statement (French vs English) affect extraction accuracy?
No. StatementConverter's extraction engine works at the structural level — identifying transaction table boundaries, date columns, amount columns, and balance columns — rather than relying on French or English keyword matching. A BNP Paribas relevé de compte PDF in French and a BNP Paribas statement PDF in English are both processed with equal accuracy. Column headers are not required for extraction to function correctly.
Is the BNP Paribas statement password-protected?
No. BNP Paribas online statements downloaded via BNP Paribas Net Banking (mabanque.bnpparibas.com) are not encrypted with a file-level password. Access is controlled by the banking portal's authentication system. Once downloaded, the PDF can be uploaded directly to StatementConverter and converted without entering any password.
Can I use the Excel output for French tax filings with DGFiP?
Yes. The structured Excel output from StatementConverter is used by French sole traders (auto-entrepreneurs), SAS/SARL bookkeepers, and expert-comptables to categorise BNP Paribas transactions for Déclaration de revenus and TVA returns filed with DGFiP (Direction Générale des Finances Publiques). The output integrates via CSV into Sage (widely used in France) and other French accounting platforms.
Does it handle SEPA transactions in BNP Paribas statements?
Yes. SEPA Virement (Credit Transfer) and Prélèvement SEPA (Direct Debit) entries in BNP Paribas statements include creditor IDs, mandate references, and end-to-end IDs. StatementConverter preserves these SEPA-specific reference fields in the Excel output, making it straightforward to reconcile BNP Paribas transactions against invoices and supplier records.
Does StatementConverter support BNP Paribas multi-currency statements?
Yes. BNP Paribas international accounts issue statements with transactions in EUR, USD, GBP, CHF, and other currencies. StatementConverter preserves the original currency code and amount for each transaction row exactly as they appear in the PDF, maintaining multi-currency detail required for foreign income reporting and FX reconciliation.
Is the conversion GDPR-compliant for BNP Paribas data?
Yes. Your BNP Paribas statement PDF is processed entirely within your browser — it is never transmitted to StatementConverter's servers or any third-party infrastructure. This local-only processing model satisfies GDPR by ensuring your personal financial data, IBAN references, and transaction history are not collected, retained, or processed outside your own device.
