Historical Resolution Data

Is the Rabobank statement password-protected?

No. Rabobank online statements downloaded via Rabobank Online Banking are not encrypted with a file-level password. Access is controlled at the banking portal login stage. Once the PDF is downloaded, you can upload it directly to StatementConverter and begin conversion without entering any password.

Can I use the Excel output for Belastingdienst tax filings in the Netherlands?

Yes. The structured Excel output from StatementConverter is used by Dutch ZZP-ers, agribusinesses, and BV bookkeepers to categorise Rabobank transactions for Aangifte Inkomstenbelasting (income tax) and BTW returns filed with the Belastingdienst. The CSV export integrates directly with Exact Online, Twinfield, and other Dutch accounting platforms commonly used by Rabobank's business customers.

Does StatementConverter handle SEPA and iDEAL transactions in Rabobank statements?

Yes. Rabobank statements include SEPA Credit Transfer (Overboeking), SEPA Direct Debit (Incasso), and iDEAL online payment references. StatementConverter preserves counterparty IBANs, creditor IDs, and iDEAL transaction references in the Excel output — essential for reconciling Rabobank entries against supplier invoices and e-commerce payment confirmations.

Are Rabobank IBAN numbers preserved correctly in Excel?

Yes. StatementConverter's Institutional Float Protection stores all Rabobank IBAN strings as text in Excel, preventing automatic corruption to scientific notation. Dutch IBANs are 18 characters long — beyond Excel's safe integer range — so without this protection, the last digits of IBANs would be silently zeroed. All Rabobank IBANs are preserved exactly as they appear in the original PDF.

Does Rabobank offer CSV export natively, and why would I use StatementConverter?

Yes, Rabobank offers native CSV and MT940 exports. However, StatementConverter is useful when you need a consistently formatted Excel spreadsheet with clean column headers for multi-bank consolidation — combining Rabobank transactions with statements from other European banks (ING, Deutsche Bank) into a single unified workbook. It also handles archived PDF statements from periods when CSV export was unavailable.

Is the conversion GDPR-compliant for Rabobank data?

Yes. Your Rabobank statement PDF is processed entirely within your browser — it is never uploaded to StatementConverter's servers or any third-party infrastructure. This local-only processing model satisfies GDPR's data minimisation principle, ensuring your personal financial information and IBAN references are not collected, retained, or processed outside your own device.
