Historical Resolution Data
Does StatementConverter support legacy SunTrust and BB&T statement formats?
Yes. StatementConverter handles legacy SunTrust and BB&T PDF statement layouts as well as the current Truist statement format introduced after the 2019 merger. Whether your PDF has SunTrust or Truist branding, the extraction engine correctly identifies the transaction table and produces an accurate Excel output.
Are Truist Bank statements password-protected?
No. Truist PDF statements downloaded from truist.com are not file-level password-protected. They require authentication to access the portal, but the downloaded PDF opens without a password. StatementConverter processes these files immediately upon selection.
Does it support Truist Business Checking statements?
Yes. Truist Simple Business Checking, Dynamic Business Checking, and Business Money Market statements are all supported. The engine handles multi-page business layouts and preserves ACH reference numbers, check serial numbers, and wire transfer identifiers required for business bookkeeping.
Can I import the Truist Excel output into QuickBooks or Xero?
Yes. The CSV export from StatementConverter imports directly into QuickBooks Online, QuickBooks Desktop, and Xero using standard bank import features. The Date, Description, Debit, Credit, and Balance columns match the format expected by US accounting software without any manual reformatting.
How are Truist Zelle and online bill payment rows handled?
Truist statements label Zelle transactions as 'ZELLE PAYMENT' and online Bill Pay entries with their payee name and 'BILLPAY' prefix. StatementConverter preserves these full description strings in the Excel output, making it easy to identify and categorise these payment types during reconciliation.
Can I use the Truist output for IRS or tax documentation?
Yes. The Excel output from StatementConverter preserves every transaction exactly as it appears in the original Truist PDF — including dates, payee names, and amounts. Accountants and business owners use this output as a working reference when preparing Schedule C deductions or responding to IRS audit requests.
